Don't Quit!

I love this clip. It's from the movie "Facing the Giants"  This is called ,in the world of football, " the death crawl" We all have giants in our lives that need to be faced at one time or another.

Over the past several weeks, it seems I have had a few giants that have emerged. So lets start with the clip. For me the blindfold over the young man's eyes can represent times in life when we can't see past the storm or through the "giant" in our path. The young man on his back can represnt the weight of the world ( problems, or situations in our lives) The coach can represent our daddy God. Did you hear his words of encouragment?

Did you hear how he pushed him to continue to push pass the pain and continue to crawl to the destination he had given him? We all have a God given destination. However the journey at times will not always be easy. We will have storms blow across our paths, giants that stand in front of us, seasons of crawling before we can stand.

God's word tells us in  Deuteronomy 31:6 " Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

This past week I have felt the weight of the world, the burning pains of the "death crawl" and have heard my coach 's(Jesus) voice telling me to keep going! We are all called to be a leader for Christ.

It may be in our home, our school, our community, our church, or as a athelete on a team. When the giants in this world come at us, we are to give our very best.

The enemy wants us all to fall. He wants us all to stop on the 10 yard line. He certainly doesn't want any of God's children to make it to that victorious end zone. He wants us to accept defeat before we even step out on the "football" field of life.

I encourage everyone to keep going.  Keep your eyes on Jesus. Listen for his voice and DON'T QUIT!
